My name is NIAM (pronounced NEE-UM). I am a DJ & producer from Chicago. I work out of The Island Chicago Recording Studios. Though my primary genre is House and Future House music, I dabble and have credits in all types of genres from RnB, Pop, HipHop, Rap, and more. Needless to say, regardless of genre, I absolutely LOVE music and creating music.

One of my favorite things about music production is sound design. I love being able to create sounds from scratch cause I never really know what kind of sound I'll end up making. It's all in the moment and based on a feeling.

My most favorite part of music creation as a whole is collaboration. We all come from different backgrounds, with different stories and different perspectives. It's really cool to work on a track with another producer, artist or musician and we both hear different things and mend those ideas together to come up with something unique.

Along my music journey, I always learned more and more about music. Going to The Chicago High School For The Arts (ChiArts for short) kick started my music knowledge as I learned music theory, piano skills, vocal skills, sang in choir and competitions, and so many more valuable experiences. I have been blessed with many amazing opportunities since then and I find it most rewarding to share the knowledge!
